Profile Miles Cox
W. Miles Cox is consultant to BRAINTRAIN and Professor of Psychology of Addictive Behaviours at Bangor University. A Fellow in the American Psychological Association (APA) and the British Psychological Society, he is a Charter Fellow in the American Psychological Society. His research programme and clinical activities (e.g., Handbook of Motivational Counseling, Cox & Klinger, 2011) focus on the interplay between drinkers' incentives in other life areas and their motivation to drink alcohol. Cox is (a) Co-Leader (with David Linden) of the MRC Addiction Research Cluster Applied Cognitive Neuroscience Cluster, (b) Founding Editor of Psychology of Addictive Behaviors (APA), and (c) Past President of the APA Division on Addictions.
